Depending on how busy we are, and how many other riders are online, it is possible to go prolonged periods without receiving an order. Our busiest times are lunch time (12pm-2pm) and, even more so, dinner time (5.30pm-8pm). The busiest days tend to be weekends, including Fridays.
Please note that if you do not actively respond to an order offer by accepting or rejecting it, multiple time outs can lead to your account being throttled. This will prevent you receiving orders for a few minutes.
If you think the lack of orders you receiving is unusual, try following these app troubleshooting steps to ensure you are staying online and receiving order notifications even when your phone is on standby or when you are using other apps.
Issues can occur if you don't allow ecoeats rider to run in the background, meaning that you will not be online if you are viewing a different app or have your phone in standby. On some phones, apps are prevented from running in the background after 30 minutes or so, in an attempt to preserve battery. In light of this, we recommend checking the ecoeats Rider app at least every half an hour whenever you intend to be online.
